Terms of Service

1. The service

HostHives is a multi-tenant platform for managing short-term-rental listings, bookings, guests, messaging, cleaning, maintenance, payments, and owner statements. Features vary by subscription plan.

2. Accounts and eligibility

You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account and for the conduct of users you invite to your organization.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service unlawfully or to infringe the rights of others.
• Upload malware or attempt to breach tenant isolation or security controls.
• Store guest data without a lawful basis, or misuse identity documents.
• Resell or provide the service to third parties except as permitted by your plan.

4. Your content and data

You retain ownership of the data you put into HostHives. You grant us the limited licence needed to host and process it to provide the service. For guest personal data, you act as controller and we as processor under the Data Processing Agreement referenced in our Privacy Policy.

5. Payments and subscriptions

Paid plans are billed in advance on a recurring basis. Prices are per unit per month as shown at sign-up, plus any applicable platform fee. Guest payments and host payouts are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms.

Free trials convert to paid subscriptions unless cancelled before the trial ends. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.

6. Third-party channels and integrations

HostHives connects to third-party services (OTA calendars, payment, messaging, smart locks, pricing). We are not responsible for those services’ availability or actions. Calendar sync via iCal is periodic and may lag; you remain responsible for avoiding double-bookings across channels you control.

7. Availability and support

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance and factors outside our control may cause downtime.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

9. Termination

You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the paid period. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms. On termination you may export your data for a reasonable period, after which it may be deleted.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified in advance. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance. These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operating entity is established, and any disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
